Cold Brew Coffees for a Cause: Raising funds for Fashion for Cancer 2024

Fashion for Cancer is gearing up for another amazing year in 2024!
For those who missed out last year's show, let me fill you in: Fashion For Cancer isn't just about strutting down the catwalk in style (although they do plenty of that!). It's about courage, resilience, and raising funds for a cause close to many hearts. The campaign last year managed to smash expectations and raise nearly $140,000 for cancer research and support. This year, they are aiming even higher with a target of $200,000!
Check out last year's show
Ms. Ong Bee Yan, senior model and founder of FFC, witnessed firsthand the devastating impact of cancer. With her own family touched by the disease, including the recent loss of her beloved son, Rong Liang, she’s driven by a deep desire to spread positivity and hope, even on the darkest days.
“As his main caregiver, witnessing the toll that cancer and its treatments took on my son’s overall well-being - physically, emotionally, mentally - was extremely difficult. Most days were filled with fluctuating energy levels, lack of appetite, frustration, sadness, anxiety, anger, and hopelessness.
This motivated me to consider how I can bring positivity and hope to those struggling with cancer, even if it is just for a day.” - Ong Bee Yan (@grey_evolution), Senior Model & Founder of Fashion For Cancer

Curious about how you can support the Fashion For Cancer 2024 fundraising campaign? Here are a few ways to show your support:

#1 Stop by our café to grab your cold brew today!

The Social Space is collaborating with Fashion for Cancer to relaunch a fan favourite – cold-brew coffee🧊☕! Aunty Yan (as we fondly know her by) was also one of the co-founders of 1DegreeC, a cold brew coffee company established back in 2016. While their brews were once a favourite in our café, they took a hiatus towards the end of 2022. Their secret recipe? Well, it's the result of meticulous experimentation with various coffee beans and thorough research, including discussions with focus groups to refine their concoctions.

Now, in solidarity with this year's Fashion For Cancer campaign, we're thrilled to reintroduce their cold brew under The Social Space banner, with a portion of proceeds going to the National Cancer Centre Singapore (NCCS) Cancer Fund in aid of cancer research and patient financial support.

Perfect for fueling your day with a dose of caffeine and kindness❤️.

The cold brew made its debut at the recent Boutiques Fair, held from April 26th to 28th. It's available in three delightful flavours: oat, black, and white. Didn’t make it to the fair? No worries! All flavours will be available in stores at our outlets (Kreta Ayer, DUO, Potong Pasir) and our online store starting May.
Order yours today by clicking here. Bulk purchases and customizations for events and weddings are also available!
